My Own 24… Oh What a Day…

Do you have days when everything seems to go wrong? Do you have days when everything falls into place? The later was my last 24 hours.

4:00 pm on Wednesday, August 19:
I was scrambling for the email that Tim Healy of the Profit Express (radio show on 88.7FM) sent me. “Hey Lori,” I asked Lori Alexy, VP Client Services, “do you have the address? Do you know where we are going?”

5pm:
I left the office with my heart racing. I hadn’t been on a radio interview show in years and the last time I was on the air, it was on behalf of a client. This time, it was all about me!

5:30pm
I got to the interview with plenty of time to spare and psyched myself up for a live show. Tim met me at the front door of the station. We talked for about 15 minutes and he explained the “cough” button and that I had to make sure I projected into the mike.

6pm
For an hour, Tim asked me questions about social media and it’s impact on society and business development.

7:30pm
Lori and I went for a quick dinner at Nicholas James in Merrick — always a great place to go for a good meal!

9pm
I went home and read a little from a book that a fellow EOer sent me.

Speed Ahead – 9 am this morning
“Hey Hilary, you there?” said a staff member who was sitting on my front steps waiting to go into the city with me for a presentation at Fast Trac. “OMG, it’s 9 am? I just woke up!” I said. I scrambled. Ran into the shower and got dressed quickly!

9:15 am
Jillian and I headed into the city.

11:15 am
I gave a presentation to a great group of new entrepreneurs. My topic? What else – Social Media!

12:30 pm
After getting great feedback, Jillian and I headed back to Long Island.

2:30pm
After being stuck in traffic for 2 hours, we stopped off at the local Starbucks for food and went back to the office.

3pm

I got an email from Tim Healy. He said:
“I wanted to thank you for being a guest on The Profit Express last night. I thought it was a great show. You had great energy and a perfect topic.”

3:30pm
Lisa Gordon, Supervisor in Rochester, emailed me. Check out this great post, she wrote. “This is nice 🙂 Click on the link below and scroll down – the book is there…. Hi Lisa. We included it in our Aug online issue — www.todayscharlottewoman.com <https://www.todayscharlottewoman.com>.”

Oh what a night… Oh what a day….
