#UsGirls vs. #UsGuys

I don’t know if there really is a “versus,” but the #usguys community is a nice place to share social media information with other social media marketing professionals.

I was recently invited to an #usgirls tweet up at Sueanne Shirzey’s house. She is a friend and colleague on the Social Media Association board.

As soon as I heard about it, I was in.  As most of you know, I am totally passionate about social media and to share information and discuss the topic is exciting for me.

I met the most wonderful women at my friend’s home.  Sueanne was a gracious host and she opened her pool and hot tub.

Of course, I wasn’t dressed for the occasion. I hardly ever go into the pool or the water.  (As you know the last time I was in the hot tub, I broke my toe. It’s taken over eight weeks to heal!)

So, I just sat there in the shade and hung out.  It was so good to see Beth Granger and Beth Lerner too.  Beth G. is also on the board of the Social Media Association.  Beth L. comes to many of the SMA events.

It was really nice to spend time with other women as passionate about social media as I am.
