Celebrating New Year’s Eve with Long Time Friends…

umair shuaib.Image via WikipedLately, every year New Year’s eve rolls around and we end up having some friends over. It just seems easier than going out, especially when the weather is in the teens!

This New Year’s eve was so nice. Some of our friends who we’ve known for a long time came over. Everyone was from a different period of our lives — one friend was from when my daughter was young, one was from College, one was from a first jobs, one was from High School and one was a friend that I had since I was 4 years old and reconnected with on Facebook!

At first I was a little worried because no one really knew each other, but with a couple of cosmos and a lot of food, by the end of the night, everyone was “best friends.”

The food was plentiful! We had chicken, wraps, meatballs, mini hot dogs, salad, and almost every dessert imaginable — brownies, cookies, cupcakes, Uncle Milty’s Cheesecake, and more!!!

It was so nice to bring in 2009 with old friends and I want to wish my old friends and my new friends a very sweet, healthy and prosperous 2009! Enjoy!
