Hot Coffee Anyone?

I’m with Larry David. In this past season, he complained that if he left the room and put his coffee down, when he got back, the coffee was cold. Do you feel that way?

Hot Coffee Anyone?

When I was visiting my friend’s, Madeline and Steve, home, Steve introduced me to Ember. Ember is a “smart” coffee cup that works with an app and keeps the coffee warm. It doesn’t keep it warm all day but it keeps it warm for a while.

What I like about Ember

I love having the app on my phone. I can make the coffee in the cup any temperature I like. My preferred temperature is 137 degrees Fahrenheit. For the most part, the Ember cup works pretty well. There’s nothing like stepping away and coming back to a hot cup of coffee, as Larry David would say.

What I don’t like about Ember

It is expensive. I paid $130 for a cup and a saucer. Yes, it’s a smart cup and it’s pretty cool. But, it’s not consistent and the battery doesn’t last long.

Also, about a month after I wrote this blog post, the inside of my Ember was chipped. I never put it in the dishwasher nor the microwave. I washed it by hand every time I used it. The whole inside was chipped and when I called the company to replace it, they said they would but it took more than a month to get it.  I don’t know if this is a flaw in the product but personally, I would wait until the next edition comes out before buying it. However, there is nothing like a hot cup of coffee that stays hot!

Where to buy it?

You can pick up Ember on either the Ember site or on Amazon.
