I Won A Trip To London!

You must know someone who says they never win anything. I know lots of people. I’m one of those people who win sometimes but I always win something I already have. It’s so funny. It never fails.

One time I donated a wine basket to a charity golf outing. Of course I purchase raffle tickets and you know what I won? The wine basket I donated!

Another time, I won tickets to a sporting event but it was a sporting event I had season tickets to!

I shouldn’t complain. Lots of people never win anything. At least I win even if it’s not something that I want or need…  The point is, I win and I often donate it back to another charity so I feel like a winner!

When the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) announced that they were running a contest with British Air, I figured, I had nothing to loose. The contest was for entrepreneurs to get the opportunity to conduct some business in either London or any other European country. I wrote my application figuring that London would be the best place for me to go to try to promote and publicize my new book, “Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Social Media but were afraid to ask…”

On the application, I wrote that I would try to arrange for book tours and signings and also meet up with my show producer from the Internet TV show I am on called, Your Business Channel (YBC). I was also thinking of trying to meet up with other entrepreneurs in similar industries so that we can cross collaborate.

When I got the message the other day that I was one of the winners, I was thrilled. “I never went to London before! This is something that will really help my business and me personally!”

However, when I found out that the flight leaves in a couple of weeks, I became anxious. What am I going to do with my son? How can I be away that time of year? There’s so much going on at work how can I leave for a few days?

The flight leaves on September 15. I’m not sure yet of any of the details, which frustrates me. But, I finally won something that I didn’t have… an experience to go to London! I can’t wait to go…
