Kate’s Lazy Meadow Review

We heard about this place for years. Kate Pierson from the B-52’s, the famous rock/punk band of the 1980’s new wave/punk era, owns a little place near Woodstock, called Kate’s Lazy Meadow. So, when our cousin told us their wedding would be in Woodstock, we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to stay at Kate’s place and see what all the fuss was about!

We nearly got lost pulling into the place. There was a little sign but it was easily to miss. When we pulled up to the hotel, it’s actually more like cottages in the woods, we parked the car and met the rest of our family. My mother in law and sister in law stayed in one suite, cousins stayed in another and yet another cousin stayed in a third room. Each room had different decor. One room had owl decor, another had butterflies. My husband and my room had the Annie Oakley theme.

On the wall next to the bed was a painting that reads, “For me, sitting still is harder than any kind of work,” Annie Oakley.

The room was cute. Even the bathroom had the “cowgirl” theme with a floor mat in the shape of a boot. Each suite came with either a full kitchen or kitchenette. There were no closets but there were ample hooks around the room.

Although it wasn’t the fanciest of places and it wasn’t the cheapest either, it was a fun place to stay for the weekend or, you can just “Rome if you want to, roam around the world!”
