Last night Wolfmother opened for the Killer’s at Jones Beach. They went on for more than an hour. Unfortunately, I only got to see the last two songs, which I thought were pretty good, because my friends and I got to the venue later than we originally anticipated.
It was funny that although Wolfmother had a couple of hits on Alt Nation, there were a hand full of people in the audience. I thought that it was a reflection of both bands, but obviously it wasn’t because when the Killer’s came on at 8:30 pm, every seat in the house was taken.
The Killer‘s played all of their hits and were a lot of fun to watch but the audience was actually more interesting and more exciting then the band. There were women who kept screaming on the top of their lungs. Why? I don’t know… There were people dancing in the isles and being told by security to get back in their seats. And there were fat women jumping so high that I thought they would fall back and possibly on me! There was so much going on in the audience, I found it hard to focus on the actual show!
This certainly wasn’t my favorite concert and as a matter of fact, my party and I seemed to agree that we liked the Killer’s more before we saw them in concert…
