Restaurants in and around Merrick: Molto Bene

This quaint little restaurant on Merrick Road in Merrick was on my bucket list since we moved in to town. I had heard it was a decent Italian Restaurant, so I wanted to see for myself.

My husband and I went there on a Friday evening around 6 pm. It was early and many of the tables were taken. The place was small, holding about 50 people. We were greeted at the door by a very friendly Maitre D’ who brought us to our table.

Sam, our waitress, came over to us and introduced herself. She told us the specials and we took a peruse of the menu. Lasagna was on the specials menu and we ordered veal sorrentino. We split a house salad that was delicious and ordered a bottle of Tuscan wine to pair with our meal. We split the two dishes and were extremely delighted with the flavors and tastes. It was truly delicious.

I can see becoming a regular at this little spot because the food and the service were that good. Sam told us that if we get there early, we are sure to get a table and get excellent service. I can’t wait to go back!
