I have to tell you about a very fun night. On July 11, we caught “Weird Al” Yankovic on his Bigger & Weirder 2026 Tour at UBS Arena in Elmont, NY, and I’m still smiling just thinking about it.
It All Started with Howard Stern
The whole adventure began with the Howard Stern Show. We were listening to Weird Al chat with Howard, and honestly, the interview was so good that we looked at each other and said, “We have to see this guy live.” A few clicks later, we had tickets in hand. Sometimes the best plans start with a radio conversation and a little spontaneity.
Arrive Early, Thank Yourself Later
We got there with time to spare, and I’m so glad we did. UBS Arena is gorgeous, by the way. It’s clean, modern, and easy to navigate. Before the show, we wandered through the shopping area, and that turned out to be one of the happiest surprises of the night.
They carry discounted upscale brands there, including Fulsap, a French company that makes ski and lifestyle clothing. My husband and I both adore Fulsap, so finding it at a discount felt like a little gift before the show even began. My tip for you? Get there early and take a stroll. You never know what treasures you’ll discover.
Floor Seats Are Everything
We snagged floor seats, and I can’t recommend them enough. Being that close changes the whole experience. You feel every beat, catch every expression, and become part of the energy instead of just watching from a distance.
Puddles Pity Party Won Us Over
The night kicked off with Puddles Pity Party, and wow, what an act. Picture a giant singing clown with a genuinely stunning voice. Strange? A little. Wonderful? Absolutely. He had the entire arena in the palm of his hand within minutes.
At one point, he pulled a young guy up on stage to eat processed cakes while he sang. The crowd ate it up (pun intended).
Weird Al’s Grand Entrance
Then came the main event. Weird Al started things off from backstage, which we could all watch on the big screen, before making a grand entrance right on the floor, close to where we were sitting. What an opening! From that moment on, the night was pure laughs and great music.
If you don’t know his work, Weird Al creates hilarious parodies of popular songs, and he’s seriously talented at it. This isn’t just goofy comedy, either. The man has real credentials. He’s won five Grammy Awards over his career, including one for “Eat It” and another for his album “Poodle Hat.” Not bad for a guy who built a legendary career on accordion solos and food puns.
A Production That Blew Us Away
What truly impressed me was the audio-visual production. The screens, the lighting, all of it added so much to the experience. During costume changes, Weird Al kept us laughing with funny interlude videos of him interviewing celebrities and getting into ridiculous situations. Nothing ever dragged. Every moment felt polished and clever.
A lovely surprise came when Puddles returned to join Al for “Happy Together.” Their voices together were something special, and the whole arena felt it.
The Songs That Made My Night
Now, let’s talk music. That legendary medley had me grinning from ear to ear:

Rapid-fire, high-energy, and so much fun. A couple of other favorites of mine? “Stop Forwarding That Crap to Me” had me laughing out loud, and “White & Nerdy” was a total crowd pleaser from start to finish.
A Finale I Didn’t See Coming
I was sure the night would end with his infamous “Amish Paradise.” But then he surprised us all by closing with “Yoda,” a full-on Star Wars spectacle with the entire cast dressed as Jedi and characters from a galaxy far, far away. What a way to send everyone home happy.
Go See Him. Seriously.
If you ever get the chance to catch Weird Al live, take it. Grab those tickets, arrive early, browse the shops, and settle in for a night full of laughs, nostalgia, and genuinely great music.
