What’s Your Pet Peeve?

My daughter is going off to college this fall and her new roommate asked her what her pet peeve is?

“What’s my pet peeve?” she asked me.

“I’m not sure, but I know what mine are….” I answered.

First, I hate when I lend something to someone and they don’t return it. Through the years, I’ve lost books, CD’s, bags, shoes, and even dresses to people who have asked me to borrow something and then never returned them. It makes me nuts!

When someone lends something to me, I always give it back in a timely manner. I hate owing people money or owing people stuff they lent to me!

To run after people who owe you stuff is really awkward. It feels the same as trying to collect on a debt! As a matter of fact, it is the same as collecting a debt. Here you go out of your way to work or give someone something and then they are rude enough not to return it or pay you for your services…

My other pet peeve…

Sitting on a plane feeling “squished.” Sitting on a plane for an extended period of time feeling like there is no room for my arms or the rest of my body is really annoying. In addition to that, the way these planes board is totally ridiculous! Don’t you think that they should board from the back forward. Don’t you think this makes more sense?

I recently went on an American Airlines flight from Dallas to NYC. (I had to change planes in Dallas from Denver.) I was section 3. First class went first (obviously), then business class, then 1 and 2 and then 3. When I got on the plane, first class was full, and throughout the plane random seats were taken. How did that happen? There were people sitting throughout the entire plane. Wouldn’t you think that just the back would fill up and then the front? No. People were all over the plane. I don’t know about you, but that really is a pet peeve!

What’s your pet peeve? I really want to know…
