A Delightful Dining Experience at The Union, Eisenhower Park

Inside the union 2

Once known as the Carlton on the Green, The Union at Eisenhower Park is a culinary gem that has undergone a remarkable transformation while preserving its commitment to quality food and service. My recent dining experience here was nothing short of delightful, and I am excited to share it with you.

The Menu

The menu at The Union is a gastronomic tour de force, offering a variety of dishes that cater to every taste. The restaurant boasts a sushi bar with a dedicated, skilled sushi chef who crafts fresh sushi right before your eyes. This feature alone makes The Union a unique dining destination. But the allure of this place doesn’t stop there.

The Union Menu

In addition to sushi, The Union offers brick oven pizzas and sandwiches, providing a perfect blend of classic and contemporary cuisine. And for those who crave something more substantial, the restaurant serves a full assortment of steaks and comfort food.

What We Ate

During my visit, I indulged in the meatloaf, served with mashed potatoes and carrots. Each bite was a delicious dance of flavors, making it a meal to remember.

My husband, on the other hand, began his culinary journey with a bowl of French Onion Soup. Although it was slightly salty, the soup was undeniably delicious.

His main course, a steak sandwich, was accompanied by some of the most incredible fries we’ve ever tasted.

The ambiance of The Union adds to its appeal. Following a complete renovation, the restaurant now offers high-top seating overlooking the scenic golf course. It’s the perfect backdrop for a leisurely meal or a special celebration.

The Staff

Our waiter, Eric, was an absolute delight. Despite being new to the food service industry and juggling his job with his studies at John Jay College, he was attentive, efficient, and friendly. He truly added to the overall positive dining experience.

However, one minor point of critique would be the lack of interaction from the management. Given that The Union is a newly opened restaurant, a brief check-in from the manager would have been appreciated.

Would I Recommend It?

In conclusion, The Union at Eisenhower Park offers a fantastic dining experience with its diverse menu, beautiful setting, and excellent service. While there may be room for minor improvements, the positives far outweigh the negatives. If you’re in the area and looking for a memorable meal, The Union is a destination worth considering.
