Allendale Fire Department Meets Aerosmith

I’m a softy for the Fire Department. So when my friend, Rich Shinnick asked me to help him spread the word about a raffle that would benefit the Allendale Fire Department, I said YES!

But this raffle isn’t just any raffle, it’s to get a fire helmet signed by the original members of Aerosmith! The money raised will be used to restore their 1951 Mack Fire Engine. (And if you watch the video below, you will see this baby.  She is hot!)

One of the fire department’s volunteers had a connection with Aerosmith and when he approached the band, they loved the idea and all signed the helmet.

To promote the raffle, the firefighters thought it would be a great idea to put a Youtube video.  After publishing the Youtube video, Tom Hamilton, the Aerosmith bass player, paid a visit to the fire house to sign memorabilia.  After spending time with the volunteers and seeing the video, Tom decided to come back the following day to make a video with him in it to promote the raffle.  The video was produced completely by the volunteers with no outside help.  Here is the video:

Please help the Allendale firefighters by supporting their raffle, which ends this Superbowl Sunday. It’s only $20 for a ticket. And who knows, you might just walk away with a completely awesome fire helmet signed by Aerosmith.  How cool is that?

Click here to get involved in the raffle.  Good luck and let me know if you win!

P.S. If you didn’t know, Allendale is a town in New Jersey!
