Sitting Inside During a Snowstorm

12523092_1028446230532296_6382922908646113371_nWhile I’m sitting in my living room with the lights off during the first major snowstorm of 2016, I watch as the snow falls steadily from the sky and observe how the wind is blowing everything around.

I’m looking out my big picture windows at my neighbor across the street. It’s amazing how his house hardly ever gets snow.  All the snow always seems to hit my house.  It’s almost as if he has invisible army throwing the snow off of his house and onto mine.

I’m glad it’s a Saturday and not during the week. (Although many people may not agree.) The weeks have been intense for me lately and to have a little ounce of downtime puts a smile on my face. I only hope that while the snow falls and the wind blows that PSEG LI and Fios don’t go down.  I want to be able to just sit here looking out my window, feeling relatively warm and being able to write this blog, which is really about nothing other than one moment in time.

However, as much as I would love to just focus on the snow out the window, I like many of you, have so many things that I have to do… like get ready for my first class on Monday, write a dozen or so blogs for the coming weeks, review the product that are sitting on the side of my bed, and work out (I’m still in training!). And, if I really want to be good, catch up on some of the work that I wasn’t able to do last week.

As I’m sitting here, I realize that I’m getting bored. Hmmm…. maybe I’ll take a bath? Or, maybe I’ll catch a movie on TV or maybe I’ll go back to bed?

I wonder what’s happening on Facebook?  Oh, the Lizzard photo is going viral again! The “B” in Blizzard wasn’t on a local Long Island sign and it reads, “Lizzard warning….”

It would be nice to just watch the snow fall for a few more minutes and then move onto something else…
