You’re probably thinking that From Couch Potato to Endurance Athlete would make a good movie, but what about Branding in a Digital World or Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Social Media? Would those books make good movies?
Recently, I’ve been getting queried by production houses asking if I would be willing to make either one of the last two books into a movie. I seriously look at the email and shake my head.
Who wants to play the part?
I mean, who would play the part of Facebook, Twitter, or Mr. SEO? Would there be a dancing YouTube? Or would Foursquare be a disappearing act?
It’s gotten to the point that I’ve also received phone calls. “Hello, Hilary, this is Bobby Brown of XJX Production. We’re calling to see if you want to make a movie out of Branding in a Digital World.”
I know it’s spam but whoever is involved in this is relentless. They won’t stop calling and emailing me. They are waiting for me to have a reaction. Should I have a reaction? Should I ask who they think should play Ms. Instagram? Or should I just ignore it and let it go?
