Sorrento, Italy Hotel: Palazzo Marziale Review

If you want to stay in a quaint, romantic hotel on the Amalfi Coast that has exceptional customer service, then consider staying at the Palazzo Marziale in Sorrento.

After our 10 day Windstar Cruise, my husband and I decided to spend a couple of extra days on the Amalfi Coast. We picked this hotel because of its charm and its history which is on the Internet. It also had outstanding reviews on Trip Advisor, so why not?

The hotel is elegant. There’s a restaurant on the lower level where they serve breakfast daily. Upstairs, there is a parlor where they serve happy hour to their guests.

The rooms were outstanding. I think this was probably the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in the US or abroad. The first two nights we stayed in a deluxe room, which was quite lovely. The last night, we stayed in a junior suite. Both rooms were incredible.

Here are some photos I took of the place:

Paola Saverese is the owner. This was her childhood home. The family also owns another property in the next town over, which was their vacation home with only 10 rooms and a beautiful swimming pool. Unfortunately, we didn’t make it there this time around, but I certainly would consider staying there next time.

Would I recommend the Palazzo Marziale? In a heartbeat! The staff is wonderful, the accommodations are superb and staying in Sorrento while touring the Amalfi coast is simply perfect!
