St. Luke’s 100th Anniversary Gala…

More than 300 people filled the room at the North Hills Country Club in Manhasset. Everyone was dressed beautifully and couldn’t wait to celebrate with a Catholic School that has a long, rich history.

As the guests entered the room, Kristie Galvani, Lori Alexy and I checked them in. Ellen Heydt, the event project manager, stood by us in case there were any problems.  Everything flowed together so smoothly.  Yes, there were a few hitches here and there, but my team acted quickly to resolve the situation. While we were taking care of registration, Lisa Gordon sold raffles in the cocktail room.

The night flowed well.  Speeches were right on target and then the band started to play.  Once that happened, everyone was up on the dance floor including the priests and nuns.  There was one nun who wore a full habit.  She was 91 years old and could really “boogie.”  (I hope when I’m her age, I have the same energy!)

At the end of the evening, my staff distributed raffle prizes and the 50/50 was announced.  Everyone walked out of the event with a big smile on their faces, including me.  I was so happy and proud of my staff for working so well together and pulling off another amazing event.
