Won’t You Be My Valentine?

Valentine's Day

I love Valentine’s Day because, for me, it’s a day to wear red and tell my family and friends how much they mean to me. But there are so many out there without a Valentine. This holiday becomes really difficult for them and for that, this blog post is dedicated to you.

So Won’t You Be My Valentine?

I want to tell you that I am grateful to you that you read my blog and that you connect with me. That’s important to me. But I also want to hear from you. Tell me what I mean to you too. Here are virtual flowers for you:

Tips on Getting Through Valentine’s Day without a “Valentine”

Well, you have me. I’m your Valentine and you are mine. End of story. But here are some other tips that you can do to feel good today.

Self-Love

Treat yourself to something you love today. If you love to eat chocolate, get some. If you love flowers, buy them for yourself. If you love to get a massage, get one! Today is your day.

Get together with friends

Just organize a group date and be with the people that make you feel good.

Make someone happy

If you have a close friend or family member, make sure to make that person happy by either sending them a gift, or a card or just calling them and telling them what they mean to you.

Focus on gratitude

Think about all the amazing things that are happening in your life and focus on that. Be grateful.

Don’t be hard on yourself!

Way too often we are hard on ourselves because we can’t do better, or we can’t get into a healthy relationship, or we just don’t appreciate ourselves. STOP! Make sure you take today and appreciate all that you bring into the world.

Do the happy dance

If you follow me on Instagram, you will see that I often do the “happy dance.” I am usually alone and I know others are looking but I don’t care. If something makes you feel good, do the happy dance and just enjoy the moment!

So, won’t you be my Valentine?

I hope you will be because as you need love, I also need love. Let’s spread it around and have a world filled with love today and every day.
