Give a Gift to the Homeless by Barry Friedman of Complete Kits Inc.

As we begin the Holiday season, we at Complete Kits are gearing up to distribute our kits to those less fortunate. We are an organization dedicated to developing starter kits for charities that cater to the homeless, people living in shelters, halfway houses and safe havens.

There are 783 homeless people living on the streets and in the subway system, for a total of 3,111, up from 2,328 last year. 38,000 people are living in shelters, which is near the city’s high. Here is a way to give a gift that can make a difference.

With Complete Kits Inc, you can virtually adopt the homeless, providing them with a personal hygiene kit which includes soap, a toothbrush, toothpaste and shampoo– to an apartment kit which includes blankets, beds and modest furniture sets.

The best way to give is when you have a personal connection with the people you are helping. With our program, those who purchase survival kits know their funds are going to help a specific number of people gain dignity, warmth and hopefully the route to an independent and fulfilling life.

As the homeless move through shelters to halfway houses and ultimately quarters of their own, Complete Kits Inc. provides life line packages that meet their needs along the way.

There cannot be a better way to demonstrate the spirit of the holiday season than to give a person a second chance in life.

To give a gift to the homeless, someone transitioning out of a shelter to an apartment or half-way house, visit or email me at [email protected].
