My Top 10 Favorite Long Island Restaurants of 2013

long island restaurants

I live in Nassau County and I work on the border of Nassau and Suffolk so I don’t venture out much passed Melville on the weekends. I also don’t tend to drive north so you may have some additions to this list. If you do, please add to the comments section of this blog.

Here are my top 10 Long Island restaurants in no particular order:

  1. Mio Posto in Oceanside
  2. Olive Oils in Point Lookout
  3. Matteo’s in Bellmore
  4. Brasserie Persil in Oceanside
  5. Blackstone’s in Melville
  6. Fredericks in Melville
  7. Peter Luger in Great Neck
  8. Rothman’s in Jericho
  9. Frank’s Steak House in Jericho
  10. Nagahama in Long Beach

I would have La Rioja in Island Park on this list but was recently kicked out because my staff and I were laughing.  Don’t ask.  I used to go there at least twice a month for Spanish food and I will never go back!

As for others, there are many other restaurants that didn’t make the cut but hopefully they will in 2014.
